Sony announced Xperia C5 Ultra and Xperia M5

Sony has recently announced its two latest smartphones, the Xperia C5 Ultra and the Xperia M5.The Xperia C5 Ultra is the successor to the Xperia and is made to focus on self-portrait. The C5 Ultra comes with 13 MP auto-focus camera on the front and back, quite like the HTC Desire EYE.

The front camera features 22mm focal length to fit as many people in single shot and also has an LED flash. Apart from its camera-focused features, the C5 Ultra packs 6-inch IPS display with 1920×1080 resolution and really thin bezels on the side. The device runs on a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6752 chipset coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal memory (expandable by microSD card slot). Connectivity options include LTE. XperiaC5 Ultra is powered by 2930mAh battery which comes with battery life of up to two days. Xperia C5 Ultra runs Android 5.0 Lollipop.

The Xperia M5 is what Sony calls the ‘super mid-range’ smartphone, and resembles closely to some of the Xperia Z series devices. It has the same OmniBalance design with metal on the sides and glass on the front and back. The M5 is also dust and waterproof with IP65 & IP68 certification.

The M5 comes with a 5-inch 1920×1080 resolution IPS panel. M5 runs on MediaTekHelio X10 processor with 3GB RAM and 16GB internal memory with microSD card slot. The M5 packs 21.5MP camera on the back and 13MP font shooter. With LTE capability, it is powered by 2600mAh battery with two-day battery life. M5 runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Both the C5 Ultra and the M5 will be available in dual SIM variants in selected countries across emerging markets starting mid-August.
