Industry insiders state that new production line has already gone operational, which would raise the volume to 5 million curved displays a month. This is significant as compared to the previous 2 million output a month eventually helping the company to reach the latest sales forecast of 70 million Galaxy S6/S6 edge device. The new Plant’s launch was in June, but with hike in demand Samsung managed to pull it off two months ahead of schedule. The Galaxy S6 edge was reported to be Samsung’s most expensive smartphone to produce. The 64GB Verizon version has material cost and assembly line cost of whopping $290 alone.
