Samsung Presented Galaxy S5 Running On Google’s Android 5.0 Lollipop – Launch Expected in December 2014

On November 1st 2014 Samsung took the pride to present the initial phase integration of its prestigious Galaxy S5 integrated with latest and magnificent Android 5.0 Lollipop. Samsung has put all its efforts to smartly implement the alterations and design modifications required to incorporate the newer version of Android with TouchWiz User Interface. The major enhancements are

listed below:

  • New filters for Gallery
  • New Search box for Contacts
  • New Google Search bar in the “Recent area”
  • New Animations & System Fonts
  • Notification Area got new cool colors for brightness slider
  • Colored Status Bar for Stock Apps
  • Improved patterns for Clock, Calculator & Music Apps
  • The sound settings excluded the “interruptions tab”
  • New Icons for Settings menu
  • New Wall Paper Settings Menu
  • Better spacing in Menu items
  • New fingerprint lock screen (Similar to Galaxy Note 4)

The initial implementation phase reflects that the mostly changes are in the User Interface (UI) as depicted above. Also Samsungs corporate color blue has replaced the Google green color scheme.

Nevertheless the OS specified in the phone information is Android 5.0 only. Strangely the Lollipop is not mentioned therein. Let’s wait few more weeks when the final version will be released.
