Yesterday, Samsung unveiled its Samsung Gear S in USA by giving flexibility to purchase Smart Watch Gear S alone as it comes with SIM card. Sammys can own the smart watch which can make & receive phone calls by itself without need of Smart Phone. You can receive messages and notifications as well. Samsung has provided 3G connectivity with Wi-Fi in Samsung Gear S, the smart watch. So it’s no more mandatory to buy a smart phone to use smart watch. Of course one can pair it via bluetooth 4.0 with any other compatible Samsung device, if he wants so. 

Samsung S Gear

The price of the Gear S is USD 299/-. In Pakistan the expected price is in the range of  Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 40,000. It will be available in Pakistan by mid of November. The stylish gadget attracts customers, as its only one of its type in the world so far. MPC.com.pk has collected Gear S pictures in both modes i.e. a smart watch and a mobile phone.

Samsung S Gear

The 2-inch Super AMOLED display having resolution of 360x480p, which is quite high for this size is made in curved shape. The pixel density is also very high i.e 300 ppi, which results in a sharper display than usual. The curved display adds an elegancy and is not seen so far in other Samsung wearable gadgets. The display is fine enough and distinctive. Pixelization or any other problem has not been noticed.

Another uniqueness about Samsung Gear S is that it runs on Samsung Tizen operating system contrary to Samsung’s previous Android-based Gear devices. The Tizen operating system basically provided quite advanced functionality just by swiping on Touch Screen one has an access to contacts, apps such as agenda, weather, and messages, emails, missed calls, etc from his smart phone.
