The Samsung Galaxy S7 was the best phone release after the Galaxy S6 which lot of improvements in design and specifications.

Expected specifications:

It is expected that it would have 4K screen, A snapdragon 830 processor with 6 GB of RAM and a better camera than before.  It is also rumored that it would have iris scanner with a foldable screen.

Galaxy S8 rumoured specifications

  • Android 7.1 Nougat with TouchWiz and Viv AI assistant
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 835/Exynos 8895 (may as previously be region-specific)

  • 6GB/8GB of RAM
  • Dual-camera (potentially on the Plus model only)
  • Selfie camera with autofocus
  • Harman Kardon stereo speakers
  • Fingerprint scanner integrated to the screen (physical Home button removed)
  • USB-C with support for digital audio, replacing 3.5mm headphone jack

Design of S8

It is expected that they would release two versions of S8 and this time both will have the edge surface.  One model would be of 5.1 inch screen and the other would be 5.5 inch screen.

It would have AOD (Always on display) which was introduced in Galaxy Note 7.

Camera and battery:

It has a dual 12 MP, phase detection autofocus, OIS, dual LED (dual tone) flash.  It is expected that it would have fast wireless charging.  It has Snapdragon 835 with quick charge 4 support.

Software

It will come with Android 7.1 Nougat with TouchWiz UI

“Developers can attach and upload services to our agent. Even if Samsung doesn’t do anything on its own, the more services that get attached the smarter this agent will get, learn more new services and provide them to end-users with ease,” said executive VP Rhee Injong.

RAM

It is rumored that it will have 6GB of RAM. Samsung has said that it will have the new generation of DRAM

 Screen

It will have 5.7 inch screen and there would not be the home button. The size of the handsets wouldn’t need to expand too much to accommodate such a change, although we have also heard rumors that the Galaxy S8 will get a 5.5in screen.

Processor

Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus will feature the Snapdragon 830. This chip is manufactured using the 10nm process and integrates the Adreno 540 GPU. With a release date of early 2017 it’s very likely that this is the processor the Galaxy S8 will receive.
