Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Face Lock Could be Fooled

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 feature of unlocking the phone with face recognition could be tricked easily and it isn’t secure. Facial recognition test has been done by Mel Tajon and he shared the experience over Twitter.

There had been rumors long before the phone was launch related to this Samsung Galaxy Note 8 feature that the unlock feature could be fooled with flat pictures and the tech isn’t smart enough.

However, Samsung claimed that the feature is safe and secure but when contacted the company they said the feature is meant to be convenient for the users and not bulletproof.

Samsung replied to the alleged video that the function of iris scanner or fingerprint sensor is to safe and secure and facial recognition is an easy substitute for swipe-to-unlock feature.

Technically it is possible to deal with flat photos facial recognition just as Windows Hello did. So, Samsung missed doing the same.
