Samsung has finalized a date for the C series launch in China and has started sending out its invites. If we read the invitation, it says right away that the C series will unveil on 26^th May 2016.

The series has been in the rumors and leaks for quite a time. However, there has been no news on its official release any time before. As per rumors, the C series will consist of two handsets C5 and C7. There is no rumor whether there could be a third one or big brother. 

Samsung Galaxy C series to launch in China on 26th May, 2016.

As per leaks, specification-wise, the Samsung Galaxy C5 has 5.2-inch display with a pixel resolution of 1080 by 1920. It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 chipset with an octa-core processor accompanied by 4GB of RAM. It has a battery capacity of 2,800mAh.

As far as the specs are concerned Samsung Galaxy C7 is expected to launch with same innards, but a larger screen of 5.7-inch marks the handset.  It has a whopping 3,300mAh battery to compensate for the extra power consumption of the larger panel.

Software-wise, both handsets will come with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with Samsung customized TouchWiz on top.

However, the availability and price is still to set. Further, its availability outside Asia is highly unlikely.
