Samsung A8 has made the rumor mill a very busy place to visit. Almost every report is revealing its features, specs, hands on Video and leaked or live images ridiculously. Moreover, we have also learned that the all metal body will be 5.9mm thick making it the slimmest Samsung Smartphone to date.

The very recent rumor is A8 will pack 16MP sensor. This can somehow create a problem as the 16MP Sony IMX240 and the Samsung ISOCELL sensors, used in the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge are too thick to fit inside the small space. Probably, some modification has been made and a new information sheds light on what the Korean giant has done to put everything in line.

Industry sources are claiming that the Galaxy A8 will pack an ISOCELL sensor, but a slightly downgraded one. The new module, model number LSI3P3, has a diminished pixel size of 1.0 µm. This makes it a total of 23% thinner than the aforementioned Sony unit – just right to fit inside the Galaxy A8. This reduction might damage the camera quality but no one is sure of whether or if Galaxy A8 can manage this.

Judging by the tone of rumors–which is grave–we can expect that the launch of Galaxy A8 earlier than expected.
