In the age of modernization we are exposed to objectionable content quite often but there should be certain ethics and norms defined for media while broadcasting any commercial activity that might impact masses. Recently a similar controversy has been originated on the Qmobile new Z7 smartphone commercial. The commercial shows few objectionable words being spoken that might negatively influence the audience esp. children. The commercial has stirred an air of anger among citizens and PEMRA and PTA has been immediately demanded to ban it. Even the politician have taken this into account and demanded that authorities should take it seriously. JUI’s Information Minister Hafiz Hussain Ahmed has clearly stated that such controversial and objectionable content has no place in our society and we will continue to fight against such ill.
