Samsung was delaying Z1 Tizen Launch for a long time but now the wait is over. The official launch is expected in early January. The model number is SM-Z130H. Initially this was planned in December but now the Korean newspaper has released the new date to be January 18, 2015, in India- the initial place of Launch.
The Korean source previously reported that the device would not cost more than $90. The Indian consumers can buy the smartphone online as well as from Samsung’s existing sales network.
Z1 is another effort by Samsung to compete in ultra-cheap entry-phones that are getting popular in the emerging markets. It will feature a 4 inch display with 480 x 800 pixels and powered by 1.2GHz dual core processor. It packs 512MB RAM, 3.2MP rear camera and VGA front snapper. It has dual-SIM, 3G and Wi-Fi.
Sources indicate that smartphone is being planned to launch in china in the start of February and in South Korea around the mid of 2015.
