The HTC M9 will not be the sole device that will be announced at MWC. Along with it, the mid-ranged version of One (M8) dubbed One M8i will make its first appearance. @upleakshas recently published the entire spec sheet of the device.
The physical appearance and dimensions are not altered rather few changes have been made internally. It has 5 inch 1080p display like the One (M8). The 2GB of DDR4 RAM, BoomSound speakers and microSD slot remain same. The prime difference is chipset the One M8i will be powered by a Snapdragon 615 (MSM8939) chip with two sets of four Cortex-A53 cores humming at 1.7GHz and 1.0GHz, respectively.Camera-wise, there are 13MP and 2MP rear cameras configured with dual LED flash. It has a 5MP front facing snapper. Connectivity options include NFC and Bluetooth 4.1. The battery is allegedly less than 3,000mAh. The phone will run Android 5.0 with Sense 7.0 out of the box.
The phone will initially sell in Asia, China and Europe. Color options of One M8i include gray, gold and silver. The rest, we would definitely come to know at the company’s MWC 2015 event in Barcelona on March 1.
