Motorola has recently published the list of devices that will get the Marshmallow treatment. It started with announcement of Marshmallow a couple of weeks ago, many companies are unveiling their device that will receive the update first.

Motorola lists the devices that will get Marshmallow update.

The following devices will be the first to boot Marshmallow.

• 2015 Moto X Pure Edition (3rd gen)
• 2015 Moto X Style (3rd gen)
• 2015 Moto X Play
• 2015 Moto G (3rd gen)
• 2014 Moto X Pure Edition in the US (2nd gen)
• 2014 Moto X in Latin America, Europe and Asia2 (2nd gen)
• 2014 Moto G and Moto G with 4G LTE (2nd gen)
• DROID Turbo
• 2014 Moto MAXX
• 2014 Moto Turbo

The actual roll out time for these updates has not been unleashed by the company but with much anticipation, it is bound to happen in coming weeks. With this the company also declared that it will be developing some of its own apps and features very similar to those of Android. This translates into the Moto Assist undergoing Android 6.0 Marshmallow supervision, along with Motorola Migrate, and the Google Chrome extension found in Motorola Connect. The main objective is to keep things simpler for Motorola customers.
