Motorola has launched the Moto Z2 Play in India today. The Moto Mods smartphone is available for pre-order today up till June 14, because the smartphone will be available for sale on June 15 from both offline stores and Flipkart. The company has announced the new Moto Mods also, which it had launched last week. But the company did not provide the full detail when they would become available in India.

Moto Z2 Play Launched in India with a price tag of Rs. 27,999.

Moto Z2 Play only 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant is available in India, it excludes the availability of 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant from the country. The Moto Z2 Play variant that is brought to India supports dual-SIM cards.

Moto Z2 Play designed as an ultra-slim aluminum uni-body, measuring only 5.99mm thick. The device has the fingerprint sensor below the screen and the antenna bands run with the edges at its back. It has a feature of nano-coating on the interior and exterior that made it water repellent. The Moto Z2 Play packs a Super AMOLED 5.5-inch FHD 1080p display with the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The Moto Z2 Play runs a 2.2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 626 processor along with Adreno 506 graphics unit.

The device has been launched in two variants; both supports expandable storage capacity up to 2TB via microSD card. The Moto Z2 Play has a camera of 12MP (main snapper) with dual-tone LED flash, dual-pixel auto focus, f/1.7 aperture, 4K video recording support and laser auto focus. The front selfie camera is a 5MP with f/2.2 aperture and dual-tone LED flash.

The Moto Z2 Play is housed by a 3000mAh battery with Turbo Charging support. The Turbo Charging will give the smartphone in just 15 minutes of charging 7 hours of usage time. It is also claimed that Moto Z2 Play has up to 30 hours battery time with one time full charged.

Other features of Moto Z2 Play on the board include 4G VoLTE, USB Type-C port, Android 7.1.1 Nougat, 3.5mm audio jack and NFC. The Moto Z2 Play supports Moto Mods, the new Mods launched this year includes;

As mentioned above, Moto Z2 Play is priced at Rs. 27,999 in India. You can pre-book your smartphone by paying Rs. 2,000, and you can also choose to pay over 10 months with no additional charges. The company has announced a 100GB Reliance Jio 4G data offer for Jio users, and this offer is applicable to all the customers who will buy this smartphone. Lenovo is also offering the protective accessories including a back shell, aluminum case, protective film and selfie-stick to pre-booking customers.
