The wait is over, Microsoft has finally launched Lumia 950 and 950 XL. Microsoft return to high-end devices is speculated as first step to improve its market position. Lumia 950 and its big brother were very consistent to rumor mill and build much fanfare before official announcement.

As far as the specs are concerned, Lumia 950 packs 5.2″ QHD screen which is sharpest yet and very close to XL genre featuring AMOLED with Glance screen and ClearBlack. The camera department includes a 20MP PureView sensor (1/2.4″) accompanying 5th gen OIS and Carl Zeiss optics (f/1.9). It can capture 2160p video with super loud recording. Further, there is a 5MP/1080p selfie shooter too, sadly with no LED flash.

However, the Lumia 950 runs on a Snapdragon 808 with liquid cooling (which means Microsoft is taking care of heating issues) and superfast 3GB RAM. The Games will run more than at par with QHD resolution but with general apps, chipset performance might be a bit hesitant. The phone comes with a beefy 3000mAh battery, plus USB Type-C connector and wireless charging

The Microsoft Lumia 950 will set you back for $550, availability starting from November. It will also come with dual-SIM capability.
