iPhone Sale May Get Banned by Qualcomm in US

Qualcomm announced today that the company wants to ban sale of iPhone in the United States. Already, there is a legal dispute between Apple and leading chip maker Qualcomm and this is one of the serious developments in the battle. US International Trade Commission (ITC) is where Qualcomm is filing a complaint.

The company wants ITC to investigate house chips of iPhone made by the competitor Intel. Qualcomm is expecting that the investigation will kick start in the month of August. Also, they are expecting trial to initiate next year.

The order issued says that, “barring further sales of infringing Apple products that have already been imported and to halt the marketing, advertising, demonstration, warehousing of inventory for distribution and use of those imported products in the United States.”
