Huawei has designed and developed Nexus last year. The handset dubbed Nexus 6P was success with Huawei quite optimistic that the Next deal will come in its hands. However, there were also rumors that HTC will build the upcoming big thing of Google. Moreover, Google will take much hold on the designing and manufacturing side slashing the idea of just partnerships in the Nexus crime. The company also will now onwards focus on hardware side along with its usual software side role.

Huawei is likely to produce another Nexus this year.

While talking on the unveiling of three Huawei handsets the General Manager Consumer Business Group made her comments saying “We’re doing the Nexus again this year, by the way.” On the other hand, considering 5-inch and 5.5-inch models to be introduced by HTC this year, there is no chance of Huawei coming back into the game till 2017. But reading what the manager said in Huawei Nexus 6P imports in 2016 will turn the tables around when the anticipated Nexus deal is concerned.

“The Nexus product is a very niche product… the techies love it but there’s a very small number of people that buy it. Hence Cellucity only brought 300… into the country…The operators generally don’t take up the Nexus device. That said, the distributors, our open market, do bring in the device, that’s how Cellucity got it… and that will still be the same this year. We’re doing the Nexus again this year, by the way,”-Charlene Munilall, general manager, Consumer Business Group, Huawei.

Definitely as Google does not confirm it, we can take it as pinch of salt missing the heavy dose of Huawei statements. What if the Nexus it will built is for 2017, What if they are letting the deal out for distant future.
