Huawei Honor 7 which debuted back in July last year has started receiving the Marshmallow update in India. But specifically for the OTA, the device users have to register for it.

For registration, users need to insert IMEI number and existing software version. As per Huawei, the device will receive the update within 24 to 48 hours after the registration is completed.

This is announced a few weeks after the Chinese company has launched Marshmallow beta test that is now running Honor 7 in UK. Also for those who still don’t know, a special edition of the device dubbed Honor 7 Enhanced Edition packing 32GB native storage and booting Android 6.0 Marshmallow was recently introduced by the company to celebrate the holiday season.
