Instagram now has a feature Instagram Stories which resembles the Snapchat Stories. However, it does differ from the Snapchat stories in reality filters. Otherwise from UI till users’ engagement, everything is more or less the same with Snapchat Stories and Instagram Stories.  We are not accusing Facebook has copied or stealing the Snapchat concept but we are saying that similarities between then cannot be ignored.

How to use and view Instagram Stories.

The important aspect is how to create story in Instagram. First of all install the app, sign up and get the service. The first step is to swipe right from the main Instagram feed and click on the story camera. Users can also select a circular camera in top left hand corner. From there take a photo using camera or upload a photo from gallery.

After you have taken the photo, you can draw everything, an image, write text and use emoji before posting it to Instagram Story. Select the pen icon to use colors and select A for texting or emoji. You can also swipe left to right for various filters but they are not as good as that of Snapchat’s. In order to make it public, just click publish at the bottom of the screen and your Instagram story is out.

In order to see other people stories, you can see, if, somebody has posted a story within past 24 hours it will appear on your Instagram feed in a circle with pink/yellow color and hue similar to that of Instagram logo.

Tapping a story in Instagram feed will not allow you only one story to watch but hordes of it. Watch the ones you like and skip the ones you don’t want to see. You can also see the stories of people you don’t follow by simply changing your privacy settings. Then simply go to profile page of that person and you will see the same stories in Pink/ yellow color of Instagram feed.
