Recently, Huawei has announced officially that the Honor View 10 smartphone will get a face unlock feature in the forthcoming OTA update. The roll-out has already begun from January 17, but as it’s an OTA update so it will be rolled-out in steps. However, expectedly it will be available to everyone by January 24.

The Face Unlock feature works same like it works in other smartphones, where the smartphone will unlocks the display when you look at it. Anyhow, the device will not unlock, if your eyes are closed. This feature is only available for unlocking your screen and not for other things like online payments, due to the low level of feature security.

This OTA update brings some other features such as the option to alter the background of your images while using the selfie camera as well as motion detection for back and front camera, which identifies a moving subject and captures the whole movement. It also brings improved AI assisted image enhancement for capturing thehigh powered digital zoom photos.
