With the release of new series of iPhones, Apple has also thrown the new iOS version, which is the 11^th in line. Even though Apple does not officially sell iPhone in Pakistan; however, Pakistani iPhone lovers will be glad to know that the new iOS 11 will now offer the Urdu text in conventional ‘Nastaliq’ font. Through this update, the users will now be able to send or receive the Urdu messages in Nastaliq font.

This is one amongst more than 1000 important developments and updates that have been made in case of iOS 11. Before this, the messages sent in Urdu through iPhone used to be in different font and style. One example of this sort is shown below.

It should be noted that Nastaliq font is the widely used Urdu font in most of the Pakistani newspapers and websites, and the major advantage of this font is the clearer visibility and readability of text. So, if you want to select Nastaliq as default Urdu font on your iPhone, then first update to iOS 11, then go to Settings > Generals > Language & Region > Other Languages > Urdu. This will make your primary language selected as Urdu.
