The new Samsung phone namely OWY has officially been certified by Bluetooth SIG. This is surely an unusual name for any Samsung product, as it does not relate to any sort of naming scheme used by the company before. However, it is still curious because Bluetooth 5.0 is certified in case of new Samsung OWY. Bluetooth 5.0 is the latest wireless protocol.

Bluetooth 5.0 protocol is supported by only very few recent chipsets. Only Snapdragon 835 supports this up till now. Apart from that, Snapdragon 660 and 630 also support that now.

Whatever this phone holds for us in store, the interesting thing is that everyone will be looking towards the shiny new chipset installed within the phone. This will either be the flagship one or a new premium mid-range clip.
