Apple Watch users are complaining about reboot issues in it in the hospital settings

A new issue has surfaced concerning the Apple Watch. The owners of Apple Watch Series 3 have reported that their units are behaving in a strange way, as the device reboots after every hour to one and a half hour whenever it is near the ICU facility within hospitals.

A dedicated forum thread has been created for such users in Apple’ forums, which is active there since October last year. This issue has reportedly been affecting both the non-LTE as well as cellular variants. This might be related somehow with the ICU equipment though.

By now, some of the users have already got their devices replaced, and even some of the customers’ new devices also showed the same behavior.

The only solution to use this watch when around or in the vicinity of ICU is through turning the airplane mode on. However, doing so actually limits the functionality of the device. Apple has however officially said that interference of the device with the medical equipment was expected.
