The Google Pixel 2 users have reported that they are facing a problem of slower fingerprint unlocking on their device, majority of the users have Pixel 2 XL devices. According to the users, it happens after downloading the Android 8.1 Oreo update. The issue has been mentioned by many users on the “Google Product Forums”, and it is reported that Google is trying to fix it. The Pixel 2 smartphones has got the latest Android Oreo version update prior this month.

According to the affected users, their Android 8.1 Oreo running Pixel 2 XL smartphones took about seconds more to unlock the device via the available fingerprint sensor. This issue is not just only reported on the official forums, but it has been well reported on Reddit, and a video on YouTube filmed the issue live. According to the top contributor on Google Product Forums, the Pixel team is well aware of the issue and is working for its fix.
