Alcatel Idol 4 smartphone and POP 7 LTE tablet are official

As the rumors of Alcatel Idol 4 and Alcatel POP 7 tablet were in the churning mill for past few weeks, so we were sure about an imminent launch. We have announced previously that the handset will soon out with VR googles in Canada.

Today the company announced the handset and confirmed the release on September 30 with 2-year plan or $299.99 sans contract. The Alcatel Pop 7 LTE tablet will also hit carriers the same day at $149.99 or $6.25 a month with $0 upfront. Bell and Virgin Mobile carriers will sell both devices

Before actually buying it we should also look into Alcatel Idol 4 and Alcatel Pop 7 LTE specs and features. Both handsets will boost Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The Alcatel Idol 4 comes with 5.2-inch display packing full HD (1080p) resolution, while Alcatel POP 7 is 7-inched with a resolution of (1024×600).

One of the notable things is that Alcatel Idol 4 runs on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor humming at 1.5GHz. On the other hand, Pop 7 LTE tablet is a bit meek with 1.1GHz quad-core unknown QUALCOMM chipset.

In camera department, it has a 13MP rear camera, with an 8MP wide-angle front facer for selfies and video chats.  Every photo can be processed with 2GB RAM and 16GB of expandable storage. Contrary to this, Alcatel’s 7-inch tablet sports the meekest 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage which is also expandable. Camera-wise, it has 5-megapixel rear shooter and another 2-MP front facer that adorns the front.

However, the Alcatel Pop 7 LTE tablet runs on bigger 3,240mAh battery, while Alcatel Idol 4 gets life from 2,610mAh juicer.
