Micromax Informatics, the domestic mobile phone maker, has launched a new budget smartphone dubbed as “Bharat 2 Ultra” at INR 999 with Vodafone telecom operator partnership. According to the company’s offer, one will have to purchase this Micromax smartphone at INR 2,899 and then the user will have to recharge their existing or new Vodafone numbers with at least denomination of INR 150 each month for three years.

The buyer of Bharat 2 Ultra will get cash back of INR 900 at the end of 18 months and cash back of INR 1,000 after the next 18 months in ‘M-Pesa’ wallet of Vodafone, by that making the persuasive price of mobile phone INR 999. The co-founder of Micromax, Rahul Sharma said that, this Vodafone partnership will bring in the next phase of smartphone adoption by facilitating customers to upgrade from feature mobile phones to smartphones. The Bharat 2 Ultra smartphone will be available for purchase at retail stores and Vodafone stores from the 1^st week of November.
