Xiaomi the Chinese tech has recently launched the new “Y Series” smartphones in India named as Xiaomi Redmi Y1 and Redmi Y1 Lite. Today these Xiaomi smartphones will go on sale in India for the first time. The main focus of these affordable smartphones is youth segment; Redmi Y1 comes with a selfie-centric feature and the other one Redmi Y1 Lite is an entry-level and basic smartphone. Both of the Xiaomi mobiles Redmi Y1 and Redmi Y1 Lite will go on sale today at 12:00 p.m.[IST], through Amazon and mi.com. The smartphones will also become available through offline retail stores afterwards. These latest Xiaomi smartphones come with MIUI 8 out of the box, but soon updated itself to the new MIUI 9.

The price of Xiaomi Redmi Y1 in India begins at INR 8,999 for 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage variant, going up to INR 10,999 for the 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage variant. The Xiaomi Redmi Y1 Lite comes with just one combination of 2GB RAM and 16GB built-in storage, and it is priced at INR 6,999.
