With the launch of iOS 10 back in 2016, Apple provide third-party app developers the choice to add Siri integration. That was for the very first time that the tech giant offered such as but that was limited to apps in selected categories. However, now with iOS 11, things are going to change and the restriction is to be removed.

Siri soon to get update, will be more friendly with other apps

Apple will now open up Siri to additional app categories. While you must not hope to see of extra commands at once becoming available, the company still needs to keep little control over the process.

At the moment, apps related to messaging, ride sharing, photos, fitness, payments, and in-car entertainment can be set up with Siri. However, we don’t know which other categories will get added. It is likely that we will get to know additional details at Apple’s annual WWDC developer conference.
