The Samsung’s flagship duo, Galaxy S6 and it edged variant S6 edge, is on quite opposite trend in terms of sales in Pakistan. Galaxy S6 is experiencing a downward trend in sales in retail sector which has led to stagnation of current stock resulting in disturbed cash flows for retailers. On the contrary, people are liking Galaxy S6 edge despite of its premium price, just for dual-edge screen, which may result in shortage of the availability of device.

Samsung S6 suffers dwindling sales in Pakistan

The two prime reasons for the dwindling demand of S6 is the design which is just similar to previous model. Also it is believed to be carrying incremental upgrades only with 5.1-inch display increasing to 5.5-inch display and featuring 3GB RAM instead of 2GB. Camera and speed parameters are also constant between S6 and its predecessor; S5.

Secondly, as S6 Edge and S6 are launched at the same time, people are choosing the best of the either. S6 Edge has a unique selling proposition of design and has good public image if you carry the product and that is exactly what S6 is missing.

Currently the set back of S6 has proved an overwhelming depression and has disturbed the local distributors a lot. The main reason is that retailers are now pushing them to exchange Galaxy S6 with S6 Edge even it is pricier than Galaxy S6.
