“Nougat” is the 7th major version of the Android operating system. It was firstly released as an alpha test version on March 9, 2016; thenit was officially released on August 22, 2016, Nexus devices are the first one which received the update of Nougat 7.0.

Samsung has started to give notable attention to its non-flagship Galaxy phones by sending them update of nougat 7.0. The update was firstly available at Russia and now it has expanded to the Indian markets. Possibilities are there that it may be available in the other markets. The Samsung Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 (2016) is the first non-flagship Galaxy phone to receive Nougat 7.0 update.

The Update in the Samsung Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 doesn’t only provide the users with the new user interface but also improves the performance of the smartphone and battery life will get a boost.With the update you will notice changes to the operating system and also to its development platform. It will provide the ability to display multiple applications on-screen at once in a split-screen view, support for inline replies to notifications, andpower-saving mode that stops device functionality once the screen has been off for some duration of time.

Users in India with these smartphones can check for the update by going to the settings menu and to the “About Device” section to look whether they received the update notification or not.
