Galaxy S7 Review

The Galaxy S6 came into the market in response to the growing market criticism that its designs were now not living up to the price tag and market position. Undoubtedly, the new design esp. dual-edge sandwiched between all-aluminum frame did meet the customers’ expectations but in the end they had to live without storage expansions, replaceable battery and protection against dust and water.

The Galaxy S7 however, did meet the aforementioned reservations. First, it came with microSD slot then the water-proofing while the battery is still sealed. Secondly, this time Sammy is a lot more generous with the internal and external storage.

Galaxy flagships are always on top when it comes to camera department, and its cameras are always the best performers in the market. This time Samsung changed its game and went backwards in terms of camera pixels. This time they are fewer but greater in size offering Phase Detection. Moreover, it also promised the lighting-fast autofocus and we saw S7 delivering on it.

The device again comes with Super AMOLED display which has long broken the stigma of all glitter and no gold. This is to bring the best of both worlds. The one thing that is heavily demanded is the Always On screens and being able to light up every single pixel has made this technology intrinsically doing the job. But this still isn’t very late if we see the growth of screen technology.

The FM Radio is no more in the connectivity options, much of due to internet realm expanding over the horizon and taking lead to do every task. The IR blaster is another feature that has retired. S6 had it, Note 5 ruled it out and now S7, the trend is obvious.

The design conscious buyer are likely to go for the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge but this doesn’t mean it all premium edge would make chunky S7 to look like an ugly duckling. The Galaxy S7 shape have been rejuvenated, the curvy look is out and it is back again to edgy models. The camera module is also not bulging this time – which means there has been engravings of previous look.

The build and finish is amazing and the rest of the device is just a superb watch.
