Samsung C5 receives FCC certification, C7 still waiting for the green light.

With the scheduled launch of Samsung C series on 26th of May 2016, comes the most anticipated certifications that the devices might have. Initially C5 was spotted at TENNA certification, now the FCC has also given it a green light. However, the C7 is still under the verification process by both regulatory authorities. Now will it launch with C5 is still uncertain.

With the certification comes the confirmation of specs being rumored however, the FCC certification only revealed the battery capacity of C5 which is 2600mAh. As a reminder, TENNA certification mentions 5.2-inch AMOLED screen with a pixel resolution of 1080 x 1920 FHD display. It will either have a 16MP or 8MP rear camera unit, but being more selfie centric it will have an 8MP front-facer which will also handle video chats.

The C5 carries Snapdragon 617 chipset under the hood with octa-core 1.5GHz CPU, and the Adreno 405 GPU for graphics. The device will have industry leading 4GB RAM with two internal storage options; 32GB or 64GB expandable via microSD of 128GB. Software-wise, Android 6.0.1 comes pre-installed. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, 3G, 2G, Bluetooth, USB and GPS. The C5 is 6.7mm thin, and weighs 153 grams.
