Razer acquires Nextbit, aspiring to launch mobiles with Unique Design.

Razer says, Nextbit will operate independently for manufacturing smartphones focusing on “unique mobile design and experience”. As per Nextbit, this acquisition can be fruitful as engineers like Razer are “rebels like us” and “share our need to push boundaries.”

Those who still worry about the future of Nextbit Robin must be communicated that warranties for first six months will not be taken for granted, while software along with security patches will be rolled out till February 2018. However, the handset will not sold via official channels.

Still, Razer and Nexbit did not reveal their plans for new smartphones. It looks like that Razer would be more interested in investing in the new smartphones by Nextbit rather than manufacturing them. Whatever it is, we are looking forward to see what works out for the two.
