Qualcomm has recently made official its very impressive Snapdragon 835 chipset and is currently under benchmark testing. The chipset will be produced in Samsung’s foundries at the 10nm process. The news is that the SoC will first feature in Galaxy S8 (for state side) and the Xiaomi Mi 6, according to Keving Wong, the CEO of research shop IHS for China.
The benchmark does not reveal the particulars, but the Qualcomm’s development board leaked that Snapdragon 835 achieved one with octa-core CPU under the hood humming at 2.2 GHz here.
As far as the graphics department are concerned, it has Mali Adreno 540 GPU which has scored 30% better when compared to Adreno 530 the latest Snapdragon 821 that is used by phones like the OnePlus 3T. This is more efficient and with 10nm production process you could possibly cut off power consumption compared to the 14nm in Snapdragon 821.
