Huawei Pakistan Vows To Build a Sustainable World

Huawei believes that economic prosperity and social welfare go hand in hand. In addition to offering the latest ICT solutions that enable organizations in Pakistan to keep up with the digital age, Huawei also invests in projects related to the betterment of society.

One such collaboration is Huawei Pakistan Seeds for the Future Program’. It is a part of Huawei’s global CSR program aims to find local ICT talent, promotion of knowledge transfer, increasing people’s interest in ICT and ensuring participation in creation of digital communities.

This program is planned annually and it took place in August 2015 in Pakistan. There were 10-15 students from Pakistan who were sent to experience life in the heart of China’s Silicon Valley. The selection of nominees was held via Pakistan’s Higher Education Commission. This year Huawei Pakistan has collaborated with HEC to launch this program. Again, 15 students will be sent to China in May.

“With the rapid pace of ICT development, academia is racing to keep up. Our student programs aim to bridge the gap between the classroom and the workplace and increase employability of students”, said Saif Chi, CEO of Huawei Pakistan. “We are proud to conduct several initiatives that aim to promote local ICT talent and assist the development of IT and telecommunications in Pakistan”.

Another student initiative by Huawei Pakistan will witness the second edition of Huawei’s annual ICT Skill Competition in August 2017.
