Huawei seems agile in launching the various versions of Huawei Mate 9. Since the launch of the flagship, the company has outed the premium version, the Porsche Design variant and introduced the Pro model in China.

And here is another one, which is Huawei Mate 9 Lite with modest specs and features for those who are interested in some lighter option which are still not that light, when you will read its specs ahead.

So the Mate 9 Lite is listed on the website with 5.5-inch screen carrying  full HD (1080p) pixel resolution. Powering the handset is Kirin 655 chipset with 2.1GHz octa-core CPU. Inside the handset is 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory.

Huawei has also announced that there will be a heftier version of Mate 9 Lite that will go official shortly, with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.  

The Mate 9 Lite will also feature the dual-camera setup ( it will surely not Leica Lens), and few steps down i.e. 12MP and  2MP camera. The front retains the 8MP camera to shoot selfies and handle chats.

Mate 9 Lite has 3,340 mAh battery for the life of the handset and a fingerprint scanner is positioned under the rear camera. Huawei Mate 9 Lite will go official in three color variations: Gold, Grey and Silver. However, there is no word on pricing and availability of the handset.
