For High Speed Broadband Internet Services, Saudi Telco Signed Agreement of $1.95b

The project will connect housing units with high speed fibre optic i.e. 1.3 million units would be benefitted. Saudi Telecom Co (STC) has agreed with the government of Saudi Arabia to develop fibre optic broadband services this Sunday.

Cost of this project is expected around 7.3 billion riyals which is $1.95 billion, hence it will help in connecting 1.3 million housing units, shared by the Saudi Telecom Co Spokesperson in an official statement. Further sharing details with Reuters, the spokesman STC said that around 60 percent units would be connected once this project will be completed by the company.

According to the official information disclosed, the high speed fibre optic broadband project would be completed by the end of 2020.

Saudi Government keeps on engaging the local manufacturers and providers with the projects such as this current one to be handed to Saudi Telecom Co (STC) so that they could contribute towards country’s economy.
