This isn’t new Facebook smartwatch but a new original TV shows video platform being redesigned with the name ‘Watch’. The new tab is being introduced to limited number of users living in the US.

Watch is the revised version of Video tab. This tab of Facebook is being launched today i.e. Thursday and clearly it’s replacing the US only Video tab. Watch will let the video content being used on Android, iOS, desktop, laptop etc.

Don’t confuse it with Facebook live broadcast; shows will be professional productions with a storyline. According to Variety, content would be from A&E, National Geographic, Time Inc., the NBA and more. Some of the shows would have live segments.

Watch shows have comment section too where user can follow and comment which would bring social element unlike YouTube Live Chat feature.

Watchlist will help the user to keep his or her tabs on favorite TV programs. Also, the user could explore ‘Most Talked About’ and ‘What’s Making People Laugh’ category shows.
