Facebook introduces 360 Degree Video

360 degree video made it first appearance in September but only for Web and Android users. Very recently, IOS has also been granted access for this Video genre. This new feature has also been update by Facebook now.

CEO and founder of FB, Mark Zuckerberg, has officially made a post in his account for this news:

“We just started launching 360 video on mobile. 360 video is a completely new experience because you can move the camera around. This opens new ways of sharing experiences and makes you feel like you’re part of what you’re watching. It’s a step towards even more immersive experiences.”

Several publishers and Brands have already lodged their platforms for 360 Degree content like GoPro, Vice, and The Disney Channel. Facebook also says there will be more content coming from BuzzFeed, Nickelodeon and ABC News. The social network is seeking a micro-website demonstrating how to upload video and best criteria for shooting.

360 Degree video require a special treatment, these could not be captured with ordinary cameras. In case of smartphones, you have to hold with different angles and drag your finger and cursor if using a browser around the frame.

Mark Zuckerberg envisions that people will upload a lot 360 Degree content in near future as the technology will change. In the Next years, people will see a lot 360 Degree Videos on Facebook.
