Andy Rubins, the co-founder of Android tweeted that the production of the Essential Phone has started which was in bit of a delay. Moreover, the launch event is being expected on 25^th August in Los Angeles.

Essential is a startup firm and it has signaled that they have acquired $300 million in their new funding round and has also signed up with some retailers in order to sell this device.

Some of the Essential Phone retailers include Amazon.com, Best Buy, Telus Corp and Srpint Corp. Also, executives from California met with UK operators to strike a deal.
