Apple Update: iPod Touch Gets Double Storage, iPod Nano and Shuffle Discontinued

  MPC Team

The classic music playing devices released by Apple in the first decade of twentieth century, iPod shuffle and iPod nano, have got discontinued today by the company. Both the products share the fate that was experienced by iPod Classic less than 3 years ago.

What is surprising is that iPod shuffle and iPod nano, both have been consciously removed from Apple website without even letting anyone know. This is something unusual, because Apple has a history of releasing something new for every product that gets outdated.

On the brighter side, iPod Touch will now have more internal storage than 16GB and 64GB, i.e. up to 32GB and 128GB, respectively. The prices are not changed, as the current price for entry-level iPod Touch is still $199 and for 128GB iPod the price is $299. The only difference is that the storage will get doubled. The upgraded iPod Touch is now available in six color options, i.e. red, silver, blue, gold, gray and pink.
