Android Pay is now official in Canada.

There are many Google products and services that are now available in Canada when they make their way to the US market. Android Pay used to be one such service but lucky now it is not. Google has just made up its mind to launch the service in Canada.

Now Canadians can use Android Pay at tons of shops across the country. Some of these include Loblaws, Petro-Canada, McDonald’s, Indigo, Pizza Pizza, Rogers and Freedom Mobile. Android Pay for online buying works with apps like Lululemon, Uber and HotelTonight to name a few.

You need to have an eligible Visa or MasterCard credit card issued by BMO Bank of Montreal, CIBC, Banque Nationale, Scotiabank, Desjardins, President’s Choice Financial, ATB Financial, or Canadian Tire Financial Services, or a prepaid card from Scotiabank or Desjardins. Interac debit cards will be supported as well. If you have an American Express or Tangerine card you have to no choice but to wait until this summer.
