On August 13 Xiaomi  will make MIUI 7 official. It is the latest version of its Android-based mobile OS. There is a greater chance that Redmi Note 2 will be revealed on the same day along with another mobile in works. It is expected that Redmi 2 Prime will be launched in India also. This is because, it has been listed on Amazon India for a while from where we can get its specs and features.

Redmi 2 Prime is nothing but big brother of Redmi 2. This variation is already up for grabs in China with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage, and for some reason Xiaomithis will now be offered in Indian market too.

Redmi 2 Prime packs a 4.7-inch 720p touchscreen. Further, it runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC with a 1.2 GHz quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU.Camera-wise, it has an 8 MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2 MP Selfie-snapper. It is powered by 2,200mAh battery so you’re still going to get MIUI 6 based on Android 4.4 KitKat.
