Xiaomi has released the Mi MIX 2 this year in Pakistan with a price tag of PKR 64,999. The device is running Android 7.1 Nougat with MIUI 9 out of the box. Now recently Xiaomi has declared an Oreo beta update on MIUI forum for Mi MIX 2.

Xiaomi has disclosed on its forum that this beta update will be exclusively for Mi MIX 2 users that means only particular users will be allowed to download the Android Oreo based ROM. Because of a beta program, the software will not be fully equipped, so users will experience some errors or bugs until a permanent version is rolled out afterwards. Xiaomi says that the last date of application to enroll for the update is 24^th December, and qualified members will be chosen by 27^th December. A stable Android Oreo update is likely to roll out in forthcoming weeks.
