Xiaomi has just confirmed another important detail regarding the upcoming Mi Pad 4. According to a post on its official Weibo account, the Chinese company revealed that the upcoming tablet will feature AI face unlock technology, making it the first device of its kind in the Mi Pad series.

So Mi Pad 4 users should be able to unlock their units by just looking at the screen. As you might already know, this technology uses front facing camera, and is less secure compared to the tech that you find in devices like the Apple iPhone X.

The company has already confirmed that the tablet will be powered by the Snapdragon 660 SoC, and teasers so far have shown a single rear camera on the device. The tablet will also feature a 13MP/5MP camera combo and a  6000 mAh battery.

Another recent rumor indicates that there will be two Mi Pad 4 models, one with WiFi and the other will be LTE-enabled, with 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB memory configuration. The price of Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 in Pakistan is supposed to be CNY 1,499 (PKR 28,050 approx.) and CNY 1,999 (PKR 37,385 approx.), respectively. The tablet will be officially launched on June 25.
