Huawei’s P20 Lite has recently received an update that lets you cover the notch on top of the phone through a software trick.

Mobile phone design with a notch on top of the screen is all the rage these days. All major smartphone manufacturers are currently adopting this trend. However, no matter how mainstream this trend may be, some users preferences differ and they would not like the display notch to bother them.

Maybe keeping this perspective in mind, Huawei has introduced a software update which will allow users to hide the notch on their mid-range P20 Lite smartphone. This particular update also includes other internal changes like, improved performance and battery life.

Although the notch hiding feature hides the top part of the screen, it does not take away too much space from the large 5.84 inch screen.

The Huawei P20 Lite is retailing in Pakistan for Rs. 36,000.
