Things Revealed from the Samsung Galaxy S9+ Teardown

  MPC Team

The iFixittear down of the Samsung flagship device, Galaxy S9+, has unveiled exactly what we were apparently expecting. Interestingly, you might not know that the specifications of the battery under the hood (3,500mAh, 3.85V and 13.48Wh) match up absolutely with the battery used on the disastrous Samsung Galaxy Note 7. So the similar specs don’t mean that the battery is identical, because it is not.

Keeping in mind the obstacles that the iFixit team had facedwhile opening the smartphone, repairing the Galaxy S9+ might cost too much. The Galaxy S9+ looks from inside much similar to the last year’s flagship and it usedabundance of glue to keep a watertight bond. Of course, some changes are there, except a bounce in specs.

As periFixit’s report, it might be probable to alter the battery, even though it would be very hard to do so. Many parts are modular and can be replaced by the owner only. The chips placed in the handset assembly were made by the Samsung, Maxim, Qualcomm acquisition target NXP, Murata, Qualcomm,Skyworks and Toshiba.
