As reported in another blog, we reported how the new smartphones are adapting to a new style and design where the 3.5mm headphone jack is not present. Many high-end smartphone manufacturers have already ditched the audio jacks. LG, Samsung and Sony are remaining ones who have still not done it. Now it seems that Sony is going to do the same in near future.

FCC approved a Sony phone last week, which had the ID PY7-21831A, and which will be using the USB Type-C port for audio as well as charging functions. Hence, it is going to be the first-ever smartphone by Sony to not have audio jack.

FCC also mentioned that this Sony smartphone will be 152.79 mm taller as well as 72.42 mm wider. Its screen size will be 5.7 inches. This would mean that the phone will have smaller display than Sony Xperia XZ Premium.

Name of this new device by Sony is not yet known. Let us see what Sony has in stores for us!
