The pressure-sensitive sides of the device recognize your tightened grip, it opens the app that allows you to take photos. Like you’ve squeezed the camera app open and then you can squeeze once more to take a photo. This is a unique concept and one that deserves appreciation as well.

A long squeeze can open and close the flashlight, or toggle Wi-Fi or a voice recording. This feature is basically called Edge Sense. It marks the first time any phone manufacturer has used touch in this way. The HTC U11’s exciting new feature have made the device one of a kind, setting example of the phone giants such as Apple and Samsung in complete surprise.
