Sony has recently showcased its X line up at MWC 2016. Initially, it was thought of replacing the Z line up which disappointed the company’s sales and even the mobile division was facing losses despite of premium offerings of Sony Line ups. Currently, Sony is experimenting with multiple series and the introduction of X line up is one of them to break previous traditions. The Lineup has been launched with Sony Xperia X, Sony Xperia XA, Sony Xperia X Performance and Sony XA Ultra. The devices showcase both the mid-tier and high-end range and brings the most amazing offerings pertaining to both categories.

The Xperia X Performance is close to the mid-tier offering Sony Xperia X with just a few millimeters thicker and few grams heftier. The device though is developed with same Sony design language and is made from premium-feeling stainless steel and glass. The rose gold has splendid touch and look. The design has a finest 2.5D glass finish with rounded corners that best fits the palm. The Sony Xperia Performance is reflection of Xperia Z5 Compact and Xperia Z5. Display-wise, it has Full HD screen and fingerprint scanners comes embedded in Home Button.

Further special features include dust and water-resistant with IP 65 and 86 certification. As far as the innards of Sony Xperia X Performance are concerned, it runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor paired with 3 GB of RAM. The device has an in-built memory of 32 GB and can be expanded via microSD card up to 200 GB. With a latest and fastest processor and 3 GB of RAM, the X Performance will bring it performance up to the gross levels of LG G5 and Galaxy S7. The interface gets a facelift with Android 6.0 Marshmallow and Xperia UI.

When we talk to about the camera of Sony phones, it intrinsically means a lavish lens that has supernatural captivity and amazing colors. The Xperia X Performance camera technology is also very promising. The rear camera comes with 23MP whopping unit while the front captures 13MP selfie images. Sony autofocus is more efficient and captures less blurry images. Sony phones are undoubtedly phone of excellent battery lives that is why Xperia X Performance comes with 2700mAh battery and supports Quick Charge 3.0. Sony claims that the device should last for two days on a single charge.

The US release is near and the devices will soon enter other markets let’s hope X does what the Z has not accommodated so far.
