Report: Apple will make just OLED iPhones starting next year

We have been keeping a close eye on Apple’s future plans. However, peeping into the next year’s plan of the tech giant isn’t a bad idea too. According to new rumors, Apple will unveil 3 iPhones next year and all of these devices will feature OLED displays. It implies that the company will switch its complete phone lineup from LCD to OLED in 2018.

In addition, it also means that the firm will have 3 different iPhones again. As per some rumors, we may get 2 screen sizes from Apple that is 5.28″ and 6.46″. All these will sport OLED.

Apple is likely to launch iPhone 7s and 7s Plus incremental upgrades as well as a special anniversary iPhone 8 having a taller OLED display this year.

OLED displays are not easy to introduce. Apple doesn’t have the supply to quarter an all-OLED lineup so far. It has made a deal with Samsung for making the screen for the iPhone 8. However, that may limit its availability when it hit the market.
